Eligibility criteria to obtain UAE citizenship considering the new law
The new UAE’s citizenship law outlined different categories of eligible residents and offers several benefits, including the right to establish or own commercial entities and properties.
This group of people includes:
- Investors: it is necessary that they own a property in the UAE.
- Doctors and Scientists: They need to be qualified enough in a unique scientific field while their discipline is highly in demand in the UAE. Other requirements follow:
- Scientific contributions, studies and research of scientific value,
- Practical experience for at least 10 years,
- Having considerable achievements such as winning a prestigious scientific award during the past 10 years,
- Membership in a reputable organization in their field of specialization,
- Obtaining a recommendation letter from recognized scientific institutions in the UAE.
- Inventors: They must obtain one or more patents that are approved by the UAE Ministry of Economy. In addition, they must provide a recommendation letter from the Economy Ministry.
- Creative talents: Artists and intellectuals required to win at least one international award and be a pioneer in a relevant field. A recommendation letter from related government entities is mandatory as well.
